Helinox pioneered the category of lightweight, portable furniture 15 years ago. Since then, we've seamlessly blended our passion for beautiful design with a commitment to innovative manufacturing. Our mission has always been simple: to bring together cultures and create welcoming spaces for everyone.

Today we continue to design the world’s lightest, strongest and most comfortable camp furniture and firmly believe in the motto “Buy Quality, Buy Once” and design and engineer our products to be durable, long-lasting and repairable to minimise the footprint we leave behind. To celebrate our anniversary, we reflect on Helinox's rich history, innovative spirit and it's icons.

Founded by father and son team, Jake and Young Lah. Jake Lah the creator of some of the most revolutionary tent architecture, who 30 years ago started his company Dongah Aluminium Corporation (DAC), the global leader in high tech tent poles and Young the creative force behind the brand. The brand was born from the desire to create comfortable furniture for the outdoors, with a focus on portability and finding harmony between two eternally important elements, form and function.

DAC’s ultralight and strong aluminium poles and technical plastic hubs are the engineered base of every Helinox product, walking poles were the first symbol of our outstanding technology and quality, our legendary lightweight furniture came next.

We stand proudly behind everything we make and back it up with our category-defining 5-Year Warranty. Helinox will repair or replace any manufacturing defect in our products free of charge within 5 years of the purchase date.

OUR FABRICS

The fabrics we source are BlueSign® approved. We combine 100% recycled tear- and water-resistant 600D polyester weave fabric with reinforced panels and durable stitching to make camp furniture that stands up beautifully to many years of outdoor adventures.

We recognise the impact our actions have on our environment and society. Our products are designed and manufactured to minimise the footprint we leave behind. DAC’s exclusive “Green Anodisation” process removes the need for harmful chemicals and the subsequent wastewater needed to dispose of the chemicals post-treatment.
