Featherlight weight with outstanding packability, the Lite Cot is a design achievement – a true hiking stretcher. Creativity, advanced materials and innovative constructions come together in a backcountry bed that weighs under 1.3kg, but provides a stable, supportive, comfortable sleeping platform that’s a significant upgrade from hard, uneven ground.

Surface tension comes from the light and strong DAC Aluminium press fit legs. Part of the Lite Cot’s easy set-up, they keep up to 120 kg 12.7 cm off the ground while maintaining comfort and support that won’t sag during the night. Packing into a tight, cylinder, the disassembled stretcher slides easily into your pack for transport, and its durable and UV resistant materials and construction make for years of more comfortable backpacking and camping.

Stretcher

Quite comfy. Fairly low to the ground, need healthy knees to mount it. Hard on my old knees. Once on it better than blow up mattress

Worth Every Penny

I purchased this in Alaska for winter tent camping, Louisiana truck camping, sleeping under the stars, and other use. It is compact and light enough to be jumped inside a Paratrooper's combat equipment. I have used it on several occasions and it has no signs of wear. My only problem with it is that I didn't find and buy it years before.

Many people report that the comfort level is significantly higher than an air mattress. A cot will get you up off the ground, away from unhealthy dampness and crawling critters. When using the optional extension legs, your cot will provide additional storage space underneath.

Not normally, but this depends on personal preference and climate. Some people with a slim build find the extra padding of self-inflating mattress adds to the comfort level. A mattress can also be used in cold climates to assist with insulation. Alternatively the optional self-inflating insulated pad can be used for Cot One.

If purchasing a mattress pad for use with your cot, anything between the full width of the cot and up to 3-4 inches narrower than the full width will work.

Yes! Shock-cord that gets damaged can be replaced to keep your Helinox cot active for many years.
