FABulous : Durable : Colourful :

A product that Travels-light. Made with super-enduring materials. Cheerful on the eye. What more can you ask for - camping across remote Australia. Chair One XL - delivers. Yes - lie frame (assembled) on its side (on grd, on a towel) use body-weight to add cover (short legs, last). Stretches, with use. Xtra grd-cover sheet brilliant for sand / gravel. (IS super-snug !! Tip: leave for a couple of weeks - set-up in a spare room before travelling). Watch-0ut if wind-y, beside a camp-fire - & you get-up to go collect another beer :-))

Comfortable, but Difficult to Assemble

Once I had managed to assemble the chairs, we found them very comfortable to sit in. Also, they fold up to a very light, transferable package. However, assembling them took all my body-weight to do, and must be done in a particular order unless you are a body-builder. The printed instructions were of no help whatsoever, so you might need help assembling these chairs the first time. We have been sitting on our chairs to see if stretching the fabric will make assembling them easier next time we use them. So our final opinion is a work in progress.

Handles the heft

I did my first BWCA (AKA multi-day remote canoe) trip a few years ago and was told one of these compact bag chairs was a must. Every option I found had a weight limit around 220-250. At the time I was about 290 and thought I was out of luck. Then I found Helinox. All the size specs were very close to the other options and the price was only a little more for much more weight capacity. I've used it on multiple camping trips and even random outings and get togethers because it's just that much smaller to carry. Last summer I lost one of the feet in some mud and didn't realize it right away (don't pack up a chair in the dark I guess) and lost it. Helinox service was fantastic to work with and hooked me up with a set of replacement feet. Since then I also purchased the feet ball/stabilizer add-ons and they're awesome, no more sinking in the mud/sand or anything. So yea, I bought this chair more than two years ago and was doing some shopping on the site and felt compelled to give it a great review. In addition to just having too much time on my hands, I really like this chair.
