Cot Max Convertible
Black$649.99 $519.99
Wider and longer, the Cot Max utilises the same innovative materials and advanced technologies, but adds 7cm to the width and 20cm to the length while maintaining streamlined design and packable performance. Support is achieved with an innovative lever-locking system that creates even, reliable surface tension that won’t sag as you sleep.
The frame, constructed from Helinox’s proprietary DAC aluminium pole set, is the heart of a cot that holds up 145kg, but maintains the compact packability required for car campers and urban closet storage. Adding leg extensions or an insulated pad lets you convert the Max, tailoring it to meet different conditions and comfort requirements.

Absolutely amazing. Fits in my motorcycle top box and is so comfotable Glamping doesnt describe how good the MAX cot is Dont think about it just by it
We acquired the cox max from REI this spring along with the leg extension kit. It perfectly holds a 30" wide mega mat that makes is just like sleeping in a regular bed. Since it is portable it is better than a bed. We are using it while renovating our house. I don't think a better cot can be designed that this one. It is absolutely solid and superior to many other much heavier conventional cots. From a perspective of light weight and the ability to pack down small it is perfect for over landing and car camping, I have used many other cots but this is hands down the best of them.
I love how easy it is to set this cot up and it's long enough for my husband who is 6' 5".

If this happens, you've likely assembled the cross-bar upside down. Take note of the 'This Side Up' marking on the cross-bar – this should point to the sky when the cot is assembled. The leg frame should arch up in the middle with the nylon hubs as the lowest parts of the frame.
To care for your cot and get the best sleep, the cot should be used on even ground. This may require careful placement or adding some extra padding under one or more legs.

Many people report that the comfort level is significantly higher than an air mattress. A cot will get you up off the ground, away from unhealthy dampness and crawling critters. When using the optional extension legs, your cot will provide additional storage space underneath.

Yes, that can possibly happen. If your tent is on hard ground and you toss and turn during the night, the resulting movement of the cot feet on the tent floor can cause damage. In this situation it is worth placing some extra padding between the cot and the tent floor.
Not normally, but this depends on personal preference and climate. Some people with a slim build find the extra padding of self-inflating mattress adds to the comfort level. A mattress can also be used in cold climates to assist with insulation. Alternatively the optional self-inflating insulated pad can be used for Cot One.
If purchasing a mattress pad for use with your cot, anything between the full width of the cot and up to 3-4 inches narrower than the full width will work.
